The Women of United invite the ENTIRE congregation to meet Pastor Jerry Wirtley. Pastor Jerry has been an ordained pastor in the ELCA for 20 years this December. He has served congregations in the Northwestern Ohio Synod, the Southwestern Texas Synod, the East Central Synod of Wisconsin, and a campus ministry in the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod. He has a passion for the inclusion of all of God's children. He and his partner, Krista, who have been married thirty years this year, have three wonderful grown daughters, the youngest still in college, who are making a great impact in the world. Pastor Jerry is a musician, and he has a master's degree in jazz music performance on electric bass. He loves making music and helping all of God's children deepen their faith. Because this is Pastor Jerry’s first visit to United we invite everyone to come and meet him. He is a warm, delightful man, eager to meet us and share God’s love. Warning: his beard changes color, so be prepared. We will have Chicken Broccoli Crepes!!! Please sign up at the Activities Counter.
The Women of United meet on the Third Monday of each month from September to May in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 am. We have a light breakfast followed by a program about organizations and activities in the area. Everyone is welcome!
