Chancel Bell Choir
The Chancel Bell Choir began in the fall of 1988. Members of the congregation were invited to help pay for the 3 octave set of bells. The handbell choir played "Joy to the World" in December services for their first number.
We have added the 4th octave of handbells and also 5 octaves of chimes. We have thirteen regular ringers with several "subs" that help when needed.
The Chancel Bells play at services on the 2nd Sunday of the month except in January, July and August.
We practice on Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:15 in the music suite.
Margaret Seba is our director.

Orchestra
The Orchestra at ULC is composed of 2 violins, 1 cello, 1 flute, 1 clarinet, 1 oboe, 1 E flat alto saxophone, 1 tenor saxophone, 1 marimba, 1 trombone, 1 baritone, 2 trumpets, 1 drummer, 2 electronic keyboards, and 1 pianist. Orchestra rehearsals are each week for an hour on Wednesday at 5 PM. Each month the Orchestra plays for the Gathering as well as a “special number” for both Worship Services one Sunday each month. During Advent and Lent the Orchestra provides “special music” for one of the mid-week services and plays for other services and occasions upon request.
The Orchestra was formed in 2001 when Ron Beall and Linton Lehrer, two ULC members, got together to play their instruments, an E flat alto saxophone and a trumpet. They had such a good time that they started asking around to see if there were others in the congregation who had ever played an instrument who would like to join them. As the group grew they invited the Director of Music to direct them. This instrumental ensemble has grown from two members to the present orchestra of seventeen members! Anyone who has played an instrument and would like to join the Orchestra is welcome!

The United Lutheran Youth Choir meets Sundays from 9:15-9:45am during
Sunday School and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:00pm during Youth Night. The
Youth Choir performs once a month at both Sunday morning services where
they sing a special music offering and lead The Gathering songs. Music sung
includes contemporary praise songs, traditional hymns and fun anthems,
occasionally adding instruments, sign language or movement. All ages are
welcome to sing and are encouraged to join us during Sunday school and at
Youth Night.
